I couldn't resist the Mediterranean polish (016). I almost walked away from it for fear it would be sheer but it looked so magical I knew I had to give it a shot. It has a blue-green jelly base with round flakes and glitter! It did take about 4 coats to get it completely opaque.
It does dry a bit bumpy because of the flakes
Index, middle: Mediterranean
Ring, Pinky: Deborah Lippmann Lady Sings the Blues
I would curious how the glitter flakes would compare between the 2 polishes
Flash makes Mediterranean look more sheer than it really is
Indoor light, no flash
*Update*
Here's a comparison pic between Mediterranean (Index, Middle) and Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe (Ring, Pinky)
Mediterranean has a blue green base with blue flakes while Across the Universe has a dark blue base with green flakes.
Mediterranean is gorgeous in natural light, it does remind me of shimmery waters. I'll upload a full mani pic once my camera battery is charged.
The other polish that caught my eye was Venus (015); a baby blue when sliver glitter.
Pretty, but not as complex as Mediterranean
How could I say no to a pretty embossed bronzer?
Alas, it is in the too pretty to swatch right now category. I saw the tester and the white in the embossing does fade although the fish detail is pretty deeply etched.
The new eye gloss duos feel similar to the original singles. There are five permanent shades and 3 limited releases for the summer. I went for Delicate (a shimmery pink and grey with pink sheen). It is part of the permanent releases.
Dabbed on swatches:
Swatches blended out a bit:
So far, I'm liking everything that I've tried. I'm looking forward to seeing the summer eye glosses and eye colors when they become available.

Really pretty!! Both the nail colors are nice and opaque :)
I'm craving that Mediterranean polish! I love that jelly look it gives. I think I can safely pass on the other things.. but that polish! Looking forward to that full mani pic.
Thanks for the photos!
Mediterranean reminds me of Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe! :)
the bronzer looks so pretty! :)
what pretty polishes! love the comparisons :)
@coffretgorge Thanks for reminding me of Across the Universe. I didn't check my stash closely enough when I first took pics. I've updated with a comparison pic between the two shades :)
Woah, thanks for the beautiful swatch!! Would you be so kind as to tell us where in Flushing did you get them? I go over there for violin lessons every weekend and would love to check out the red polishes in this collection. Thanks again for the great swatches!
@anonymous The shop is in the Queens Crossing mall on the 2nd floor :)
Hi there,
I just found your blog, via The Beauty look Book and it's GREAT. I love Paul & Joe too!!! How is the bronzer? is it sparkly at all? medium sparkly, shiny? how it is when applied?
THANKS
@Lucia I haven't really tested it. I gave the bronzer a quick swipe today and it isn't sparkly at all. There is a bit of sheen to it (the peach color has more sheen than the brown part).
I love the summer collection, the blue packaging is so cute!
I'm thinking about getting the bronzer but I really want to see swatches since I'll be ordering online(no Paul &Joe around here, sad). Please, please post some swatch photos when you can! I'm NC20 hope it works on me.
Love the polishes too! I just can't find those online.
Hi, thanks for the comparison shots of Mediterranean. I was also wondering if you could tell me about any of the other polishes, specifically Confetti? It looks like a multicolored silver glitter, but I can't find swatches anywhere... thanks in advance!
@Tania The darker part of the bronzer goes on pretty sheer so I don't think it would be too heavy for NC20 but I will try to put up a swatch soon.
@Ali I didn't swatch it but confetti is a multi colored silver glitter. In the bottle, it reminds me of Celibacy Club from OPI/Sephora.
