tokidoki Sodashop Palette

I was happy to see that tokidoki decided to release another palette and even more glad that the new Sodashop palette has a completely different set of eyeshadows. This palette has 12 eyeshadows, 1 eyeliner, 1 nail file and a sheet of magnets housed in a decorated tin.

Tin in the clear plastic sleeve

Tin with sleeve removed. The tokidoki flag is a removable magnet

A sheet of magnets for decorating fun

Lid contains a large mirror. Bottom of tin holds the shadows, eyeliner and nail file.

There is a plastic sheet with the eyeshadow names printed on them.

Close up of eye shadows with plastic sheet removed. Eyeshadows are almost full sized (compared to the solo Cromatico shadows). They are listed as being 0.06 oz, while the solo shadows are 0.07oz.

Top row l->r: Skull donut (shimmery white), Potatino (light gold), Riposino (shimmery dark copper), Ciccio (shimmery light copper), Mummetto (matte dark brown), Mozzarella(shimmery dark taupe), Tulipano (matte lilac), Nancy Rocks (violet), Romeo (Shimmery Romeo)
Bottom row l->r: Ciotolina(shimmery moss green), Arrosta (dark grey), Furbina (dark purple with pink glitter)

The full-sized tokidoki perfetto eyeliner is in Carina, a dark eggplant (not swatched). The matte colors were a bit chalky and felt a bit sheer, but the other shadows were very nice. The shimmers were especially gorgeous; my favorite colors are Riposino, Mozzarella and Ciotolina. All the shades are exclusive to this palette it seems except for Nancy Rocks (which is available as a solo Cromatico shadow). The large nail file is a bit random to me but it looks cute in the set. If you were still interested in the Robbery palette (earlier post on that palette here) and haven't picked it up-it's currently on sale for $39. The Sodashop palette is $49.

tokidoki Robbery Palette

I spotted the tokidoki Robbery Palette on Sephora.com and had to order it right away. It was too cute to pass up and packed a lot into one kit.

The palette comes in a metal tin with a large detachable magnet. It's the same logo design as the one on the tank tops.

Here's the tin with the magnet removed:

When the tin is opened; the lid contains a small mirror and the bottom houses 3 mini palettes.

When the mini palettes are removed; you can see the poor jailed characters.

Here's the three palettes opened up:

The first palette is called Royal Pride. The shadows are Royal Pappa (bronze), Savana (Bright gold), Ercolino (copper) and Bulletto (golden dark brown). The cheek color is Royal Pride (golden shimmery light brown)

The second palette is Arlecchino palette. The shadows are Soya (lime green), Candy cane (silvery white), Ninja Dog (shimmery indigo), and Meteo (navy pearl). The cheek color is Momobella (golden shimmery pink).

The last palette is Rapina palette. The shadows are Liberty (dark blue teal), Bullets (silvery grey), LA Gun (dark blue green), Adios (matte black). The cheek color is Polpettina (shimmery dark pink).

The shadows dry swatched decently except for Liberty =( Sorry no swatched for the cheek colors, they weren't showing up well, although you can see Royal Pride between the eyeshadow swatches for the first two palettes. I didn't realize it would show up till I took the pics. doh.

Close up for Royal Pride and Arlecchino palettes:

Swatch for Rapina palette:

Judging from the Cromatico Eyeshadow list, most of the shadows are new except for Savana, Bulletto, and Soya. Royal Pride is the only cheek color currently available solo. Along with the cute packaging, I think this is an awesome way to try out the tokidoki shadows without dealing with the bulky packaging and it's nice to see some more cheek colors available as well. The palette is also super travel friendly since you can just take one mini palette at a time. The set was $49 on sephora.com.

Mitsuwa and TheFaceShop

I managed to convince the bf to take a drive to Mitsuwa and stock up on some japanese goodies. I had lunch before I went but by the time we got to the market, I was getting hungry which resulted in snack overload. I got some fruit gummies, seaweed and salt chips (so addicting), chocolate and some non-giant pocky. Here's is the gummy I'm currently snacking on:

It's pretty good, I like that it's not overly sweet. They also don't have a fully smooth gummy texture, there is a bit of grit (?) to them that I haven't decided if I like or not.

Hee, I found a heart shaped gummy.

We did get some real groceries too and I got some lip balm and new shampoo. I've been using the Shiseido Tsubaki for awhile and I decided to try the Lux shampoo to change it up.

After Mitsuwa, we went to TheFaceShop. Correction, I went to TheFaceShop while my bf stayed in the car and played with his PSP or as he calls it "saving the world". It was awkward because I was the only person in the store. I always hate the part where they speak to me in Korean and I look at them confused or just start speaking english to them. They left me alone which is nice and I wandered quickly through the store since it was after 7 and I was worried they were closing. Here's what I grabbed:

Hoping this eye cream will help with the undereye circles, although it would also help if I went to bed earlier. =P

Some polish and rhinestones. I would have picked up some more polish (not that I need it)
but I didn't think I had time.

I have a few sheet mask so I decided to try some blemish patches and pore strips.

Inspired by Steph's shisem haul, I picked up a few myself.
I slooowly getting better at applying these and wearing them.

Samples that they gave me, I heart samples. Can't wait to test out their BB cream.

So it was a productive trip to NJ today. Afterwards we went to Tar-jay. Nothing exciting there. I got cheez-its and for once, I did not purchase any make-up.

I also want to share the cutest pillow cases that I found yesterday:

I adore tokidoki. I have multiple bags, a mouse pad, pins and now pillow cases. I don't like all the characters but I do like Adios, Ciao Ciao and their cats Skeletrino and Skeletrina. I first got the figurines of both cats and when my bf decided we should have Adios and Ciao Ciao, I found out Adios is discontinued so finding him will be tricky. Oh well. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's already after 2am and I have to get up early tomorrow. sigh.
