Lancôme Glamour Eyes Set

I found myself at Sephora today and ended up buying the Lancôme Glamour Eyes by Michelle Phan set that I spotted. I don't watch many of her YouTube videos but I bought the set for the Color Design palette that is included. The palette is called Chic-by-Chelle and is labeled as a Sephora exclusive shade. The other items in the set are a full-sized artliner in Noir and a mini Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black.

Included pamphlet has step-by-steps for Day and Night look.

Pics of the Color Design palette in Chic-by-Chelle:

Swatches~I think my hands were a bit dry so the swatches are patchy.
The shimmery violet does goes on smoother than what the swatch shows.

Base color is a satiny peach, lid color is a shimmery violet, crease color is an ashy brown, liner color is a shimmery grey and the highlighter color is light pewter.

The set is priced at $59.50 which is ok considering a Color Design palette cost $48 and a full sized Artliner is $29. I just wanted to post up some quick pics since I haven't seen any info on this set and if you're a fan of the Lancôme Color Design palettes then it might be worth looking for during your next Sephora store visit :)

Lancome Spring 2011 polish-Violet Groove and Le 54

I saw that the Ultra Lavande collection for Spring was available on the Lancome website and I couldn't wait to get my mitts on the nail polishes-Violet Groove (violet creme) and Le 54 (sheer violet with blue glitter).

Here are the polishes with flash:

L->R: Violet groove, Le 54

Bottle pic without flash:

Swatches!

Violet groove (2 coats)

Le 54 (4 coats)

Pinkie-1 coat of Le 54 over Violet groove

I love Le 54 even though you need tons of coats to make it look opaque. The coats dried pretty fast though so it wasn't that time consuming. Here's the final notd:

I also picked up the Ombre Magnetique in Disco Gold and Ultra Lavande. I really like the texture of these and they make nice eyeshadow bases. Will post pics soon!

Lancome Pop'n Green Eye Shadow Quad

It's been awhile since something from Lancome has really grabbed my attention but when I stopped by a counter to check out their spring items; I fell in love with the Pop 'n Green eye shadow quad.

Swatches:

It has a shimmery ivory, a shimmery taupe grey (this is the color that won me over), a shimmery medium forest green and a khaki olive. The earthy colors and green works nicely together and it can be used to create more subtle or more dramatic look. In terms of texture, the shadows were nicely pigmented, smooth and blended easily.

Here's a quick eotd that I did to test out this quad:

The start of the Spring haul

I made a pit stop to Bloomies and I was not disappointed. I got a chance to test out the new Dior and Lancome spring stuff. I did not cave and get the Lady Dior palette-as cute as it is, the colors were just ok for me and I could not justify $95 for a cute keychain. I did grab the eyeshadow quad in Parisian Lights and one of the new lip glosses in Rose Satin. I also wanted to get the beige nail polish but it happens to be that not all the new items were sent and they didn't have any in stock.

Top: Rose Satin gloss
Bottom: Parisian Lights palette.
1st row (L->R): Bottom left color, top left color, top right color, center color,
2nd row: bottom right color

Same story for the Lancome line, I fell in love with the new La Laque Fever glosses and new artliner colors but they didn't have all the items I wanted in stock because they were brand new-boo. I did manage to get one of the new lip laques, but I will have to return to bloomies to finishing my collecting.

Update: I changed my mind about the beige Dior polish-nice nude color but it wasn't very special when I tried it. I purchased the Porcelaine color (pink with fine silver shimmer) but I'm going to exchange it for another lip gloss since I decided that it was pretty similar to other pale pink colors that I have.

I've given up waiting on bloomies to re-stock and I placed an order from Lancome.com-I ordered the La Laque in electric pink, fever gloss in phia black, artliners in midnight glam and starshower, and the Irreverent madame eye shadow quad. I got free shipping and samples so I guess that makes up for not getting it right away, although I know the next time I go to bloomies they will have everything in stock. oh, well.
